🔑 NY EPTL 3-6.2(b): Communication Technology

EPTL 3-6.2(b) defines "communication technology" as follows for purposes of the New York Electronic Wills Act:

§ 3-6.2 Definitions

For purposes of this part the following terms shall have the following meanings:

(b) "Communication technology" means an electric device or process that allows two or more remotely located individuals to communicate with each other simultaneously by sight and sound.

EPTL 3-6.2(b) becomes effective on December 12, 2027. See L. 2026, ch. 89 (S.8887 / A.9497).
