Today was an excellent day for me in terms of technology! I made two breakthroughs that I'm excited about:
(1) I figured out how to publish an ebook from a Markdown outline. This has been a goal of mine for a while, and I'm thrilled that I finally managed to make it happen. This workflow uses JavaScript, GitHub, and Leanpub.
(2) I finally figured out how to publish and update this Ghost blog simply by committing my files to GitHub. This is a big deal for me because it streamlines my workflow and makes managing my content easier. This workflow uses JavaScript, GitHub, and Ghost's Admin API.
I published this post using my new GitHub-to-Ghost workflow. I made several edits to the draft and automatically updated the post. Previously, I would copy the Markdown text, run it through a Markdown preprocessor that I created using TextExpander and JavaScript, and paste the content in a Ghost Markdown field.
