Bannon, an American media executive, political strategist, and former investment banker who served as the White House's chief strategist and senior counselor to President Donald Trump during the first seven months of his term in 2017:
Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP sued Bannon for unpaid legal fees in New York Supreme Court, County of New York, and prevailed in a summary judgment motion. On September 19, 2023, Bannon filed a notice of appeal with the Appellate Division, First Department.
